Postcard Exchange

Our class will be exchanging postcards with 51 kindergarten classes throughout the United States and Canada. The postcards will help us learn more about other children and geography.
Last year, Mrs. Jordan, a wonderful teacher in Texas started a postcard exchange looking for one kindergarten class from each of the 50 states. I became familiar with this program through the teacher internet network and eagerly e-mailed her at that time stating that we wanted to represent New York. The Postcard Exchange was a huge success! We received so many beautiful picture postcards and learned so much from our new friends.
At this time 44 states have signed up and we are anxiously awaiting the last 6 states.
Mrs. Jordan is ready to send out her postcards, as school started three weeks ago in Texas.
Please send in 2 stamped (20 cent stamp on each) picture postcards representative of New York City (ex. Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Yankee/Met Stadiums, Botanical Gardens, Bronx Zoo, Aquarium etc.) We will have a computer-written message and address labels to affix to the back of the postcards, so please DO NOT write on the cards.
Please send the postcards in by September 21, 2001 which will enable us to launch
Postcard Exchange 2001
Thank You.
